Kate holds a Master of Acupuncture degree from the New England School of Acupuncture, the oldest accredited school of acupuncture in America.
She is licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Medicine, the Committee on Acupuncture, and is nationally board certified in acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM.)
Kate studied Traditional Chinese and Japanese styles of acupuncture, but primarily practices Japanese styles, including traditional meridian therapy and Kiiko. She is also a certified practitioner of the NAET allergy elimination technique.
In addition to her private practice on Cape Cod, Kate is also on the faculty of the New England School of Acupuncture.
After participating in a pilot study funded by NIH at Massachusetts General Hospital to study the effect of acupuncture on hypertension, Kate remains an active member of a research team studying chronic pelvic pain in adolescent women.
